Lena Michajłów & Parham Behzad

Lena Michajłów is a composer, improviser and pianist born in Kraków and based in Salzburg. She studied composition, electronic, theatre and film music in Warsaw and Salzburg. Since 2021, she has collaborated with actors and directors to create live and fixed theatre music. Her practice centres on improvisation and active listening, using sounds overheard in everyday life as starting material for her works.

Parham Behzad is an Iranian composer working between live electronics and instrumental music. A graduate of the Mozarteum University Salzburg, he builds systems that can shift, resist, overload, or fall out of balance as a piece unfolds. Rather than using electronics simply to process sound, he creates musical situations with their own internal behavior, where control can move and structures can hold, fail, or reorganize.
